Youngsters shine flashlights on themselves during a night-time trip through the Remlinger Farms corn maze.

Remlinger Farms in Carnation will continue its celebrity story telling and singing around the campfire at their “Camp Korey Maze” on Friday evenings, October 19 & 26, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The adventure includes a hay wagon ride and a flashlight trip through the corn maze. This event is in addition to the regular October Harvest Festival every Saturday and Sunday from 10-6.

On October 19th, the celebrity guests will be King County Councilmember Kathy Lambert at 5:30 p.m., followed by Pat Walker (professional radio voice) and Daryl Sherfey. Performers will be country-western singer John Thompson and Daniel Tomlinson.

On October 26th, Channel 2, NW Cable News host Lisa VanCise will be the celebrity reader, along with Kid’s Directory Magazine owners/publishers Jeff & Susie Stevens and Daryl Sherfey. Singers will be the ‘Canoe’ group from the Snoqualmie Tribe and Sue Wattier (Boy Scouts Pacific Harbors Council Song Leader).

The fee for the evening of fun is $5 to benefit the Camp Korey Foundation, for the purchase of the famous Carnation Farms which will become a Paul Newman “Hole in the Wall” camp for seriously ill children.

King County has recently approved the purchase of this property to be turned into “Camp Korey at Carnation Farm.”

The camp is named for the late Korey Rose, who succumbed to bone cancer as a teenager. His father Tim Rose spearheaded the campaign to purchase the former dairy farm from Nestle which has used it as a training center.
