| Nancy and Swend Trefethen |
Nancy and Swend Trefethen
were married October 3rd, 1947 in Minneapolis,
Minnesota by the
Reverend Tyner in his Episcopal church.
They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary
on October 3, 2007 with a quiet dinner at
home. They ate at home because they are both
good cooks and they got a great buy on king
crab legs and tenderloin steaks.
On Memorial Day this year they had a big
family gathering at the club house at Woodcrest
Estates to honor the couple’s 80th
birthdays and their 60th anniversary.
All their five children were there with
the appropriate spouses and the 10 grandchildren
and the four great grandchildren, as well
as many friends.
Their wedding invitation read: Mr. and Mrs.
Clinton William Sackett request the honor
of your presence at the marriage of their
daughter Nancy Elizabeth to Mr. Swend Andrew
Trefethen on Friday evening, October the
third at eight o-clock at Saint Luke’s
Episcopal Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Reception immediately following the ceremony
in the church parlor.
