Jesse Winifred Thompson Crim

ImageJessie Winifred Thompson Crim born Aug. 17, 1917 in Seattle, Wash. died peacefully at her home Oct. 12, 2007.

Jessie is survived by her husband of 61 years Vernon (Bud), son Lonnie, son Doug, daughter-in-law Pam and grandson Bryan.

Jessie was born in Seattle, Wash. to Goldie and John Thompson in 1917. Jessie and Bud were married in the Thompson family home on June 19, 1946 in the Paradise Valley (Maltby). The Crim family owned and operated the Wellington Hills Golf Course in Woodinville in the late 1970’s where Jessie and Bud helped with the operations. After Jessie retired from Cadman Sand and Gravel they spent many years doing what Jessie loved to do most boating, fishing, camping and hiking. Jessie and Bud spent 37 summers on their boat the “Venture” in Desolation Sound, B.C. and the rest of the year in the waters of Puget Sound. Hat Island was a frequent destination. If they weren’t on their boat they would be off in their motorhome exploring.

A grave-side service will be held at the Paradise Lake Pioneer Cemetery (near Maltby) Thursday, Oct. 18 at 1pm with a reception directly following at Doug Crim’s home.
