As you have probably heard by now, the Northshore School District is projecting a significant budget deficit over the next three years. In order to operate in a fiscally responsible manner, the Northshore School Board is considering ways to reduce its expenditures.

Last night I had to explain to my seven-year- old daughter who could barely string together a full sentence through all of her tears that the Northshore School Board intends to close down her school, Woodin Elementary, due to lack of district funding.
