William Edward Grubbs and Geri A. Grubbs, PhD, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 10. They were married in Fremont, California in 1966, raised two children, lost their son Michael in 1984, and led a full, active life in Saratoga, California before moving to Woodinville in 1999.
Ed worked for the Navy at Lockheed for 35 years, and Geri has worked as a Jungian Analyst since 1998. They continue to lead active lives, with weekly bike rides, international travel, and regular visits from their grandsons, Henry and Simon Goss-Grubbs, who live right down the street.
They celebrated their anniversary with a wedding vow renewal and reception at the Ananda Meditation Center in Bothell. Joining them in joyous celebration were daughter and son-in-law, Cora and David Goss-Grubbs, grandsons Henry and Simon, other family members, and friends and co-workers from the many communities they are involved in: Ananda, the senior bicycling group, and the Jung Institute.
