John and Sandy Hosey will celebrate 60 years of marriage on June 6, 2015. They were married in Salt Lake City on June 6, 1955.

John and Sandy met on a Greyhound bus, both going to Seattle, Washington for different reasons. John was on his way to Korea to join the 187th ABN ROT and Sandy was on her way to Seattle to study music and drama. Family and friends did not feel the marriage would work since John was a country boy from the south and Sandy was very much a city girl.

When asked what their secret was for their long and happy marriage, they said lots of prayers, lots of love and lots and lots of compromising.

They have three living children, 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, most living in the surrounding area.
