Phil Bartlow, 47, passed away on September 10, 2016 after an eight month, hard-fought battle with plasma cell leukemia and multiple myeloma.
Other than some short term out-of-state moves as a young boy and time spent in California at Santa Clara University, Phil was a lifelong Washington resident. He was grew up in Everett and was a 20-year resident of the greater Woodinville and Redmond area.
It is difficult to succinctly summarize his full and well-loved life, but one of Phil’s greatest joys was soccer and he was highly active in the local soccer scene as a player, coach, manager, business owner, and proud parent. Coaching and mentoring children and young adults brought him great pleasure in life and helped him add to his strong community of supporters and friends that, in turn, were great comfort to him during his far-too-short battle with cancer.
Phil is survived by his wife, Amy, and his much-loved sons, Ethan and Ryan, plus a large collection of other family members who will all miss him greatly.
An open-house celebration in Phil’s honor will be held on Sunday, October 16 starting at 6 p.m. at Novelty Hill Januik Winery in Woodinville. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Evergreen Health Foundation – 12040 NE 128th St. MS #5 – Kirkland, WA 98034-3098. Phone: (425) 899- 1900.
