School district projects nearing completion

BOTHELL — Three Northshore School District projects are in finishing stages of completion and will be set to open once school resumes. Ruby Bridges, the district’s new elementary school is 95% complete and final inspections on the kitchen equipment, electrical and the HVAC system are wrapping up.

The accessible playground structures were installed in May, leaving just the surface tile and striping to be completed. The only major item inside the building that hasn’t been checked off the list is the flooring in the gymnasium. The initial delivery of furniture, custodial equipment and food service supplies is scheduled for this month.

Crews continue to work through the punch list in the Skyview and Canyon Creek expansion. Resurfacing the pavement in Canyon Creek’s parking lots have been held up due to weather. Five consecutive days of 70 degree or warmer temperatures are required to get the job done. And the district is still waiting on the delivery of the new entrance sign for Skyview. It will be installed upon arrival.
