HEAVY BUYS PROVEN
Heavy Restaurant Group announced the purchase of Proven Bread + Pastry to their family. Located in Woodinville’s ‘Warehouse District’, Proven is a small family owned bakery that launched in early 2015.
In addition to providing bread and pastries to Heavy Restaurant Group’s nine restaurants, Proven has expanded production and currently has relationships with PCC Natural Markets and several other restaurants and wineries in the area as well as numerous farmer’s markets. Proven will no longer have a retail location.
Woodinville High School Freshman and Varsity Soccer Teammates, Alexia Fulkerson (CenterBack) and Holland Pilukas (Keeper), brought the hardware home by winning the Region IV Olympic Development Program (ODP) Championship tournament with their Washington State Elite Player Development (EPD) U16 team. The tournament was held January 5-8, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Eastside Community Aid Thrift Shop Donates $150,082 in 2017
In 2017 Eastside Community Aid Thrift Shop donated $150,082 back into our Eastside community through 22 grants, vouchers, Day of Caring Cards, and five community college scholarships. They are looking to provide grant funds to additional 501 3C organizations on the Eastside, especially small groups needing a little help. The requirements and grant application can be found on their website www.ecathriftshop.org. Grant applications are reviewed monthly.
