Eastside Audubon Announces Bird-A-Thon

  • Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff

Eastside Audubon is announcing the start of its biggest annual fundraiser—Bird-A-Thon.  Each May, Audubon chapters across the country raise funds to continue their missions of helping protect birds and their habitats.

Those interested in supporting Eastside Audubon can pledge money to a team, make a donation to the chapter, or join us for a field trip at a cost of $25.  More information about how to donate can be found on our website https://eastsideaudubon.org/corvid-crier-stories-2018-05/birding/birding-events/home/birdathon. You can also host your own Bird-A-Thon by going to your local park and enlisting the help of your friends and family (https://eastsideaudubon.org/birding/birdathon/create-your-own-birdathon).  A list of the classes offered during Bird-A-Thon can be found on Eastside Audubon’s website calendar at www.eastsideaudubon.org.

For the sixth consecutive year The Melody S. Robidoux Foundation Donor Advised Fund at the Community Foundation of Southern Arizona will match all Bird-A-Thon donations up to $15,000.

Supporters, like you, help save habitat for birds in our local area; offer field trips, school programs and events for children and families; provide annual scholarships for local students majoring in an environmental fields; and help to continue our Bird Friendly Communities initiative.
