Taste of Northshore - Sept 29

  • Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff
Join us for the Taste of Northshore benefiting the Northshore Senior Center.

This fundraising event will highlight some of the Northshore community’s best restaurants and their chefs in a culinary competition, all in support of the Northshore Senior Center’s efforts to strengthen our community.
Up to 6 local chefs will compete for the “Taste of Northshore” Award as selected by the event attendees.   Chefs will be given a secret ingredient (2 weeks in advance) and will be asked to incorporate that ingredient into an appetizer or small dish for the approximately 200 people in attendance.  All guests will have the opportunity to sample each of the chef’s creations and will vote on their favorite.  Committed restaurants include Revolve, Preservation Kitchen, Beardslee Public House, Lombardi’s and Zulu’s.

The Northshore Senior Center, founded in 1972, is one of the largest senior centers in the United States, serving over 6,000 individuals in the communities of Bothell, Kenmore, Kirkland, Mill Creek and Woodinville each year.  We provide holistic services and support to older adults, adults of all ages with disabilities, and their family caregivers, including para-transit services and adult day health services for people struggling with dementia and other diseases associated with aging.  Our dedicated volunteers, welcoming facilities and nearly 300 programs create a vibrant “home away from home” for people in our community, by meeting their social, emotional, recreational, economic and health needs all in one spot.   With the generous support of caring individuals in our community, we help people live full, healthy and inspired lives.
