Sammamish Valley Celebrates Spring – May 3-5, 2019

  • Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff
Would you like to explore a farm and chat with a local farmer? Want to share with the littles where their food comes from? How about a visit with baby goats? Make plans to attend the annual Sammamish Valley Spring Celebration, Friday to Sunday, May 3-5th. Stop by the farms and businesses that support our agriculture community.
Enjoy a variety of activities throughout the weekend that celebrate spring: there will be tours, market demos, sampling of freshly pressed apple cider and farm-fresh food, and yes, chickens, goats and pigs! Get the family out of the city and enjoy the farm community and embrace the natural surroundings. Each location has its own schedule of events during the Celebration. All ages are welcome and activities are free.
Participating farms and businesses include: 21 Acres, Woodinville Farmers Market, Off the Branch Farm (formerly Minea Farm), Viva Farms/SAgE Collaborative, Sammamish Valley Farm, Sammamish Valley Grange and the Woodinville Heritage Museum. Highlights include the Eastside Audubon’s Spring Plant Sale and Puget Sound Goat Rescue at 21 Acres, and Opening Day festivities with the Woodinville Farmers Market.
Visit for more information, a map, and links to each farm and business. You can also stop by the Sammamish Valley (SVA) info table off the River Trail on Saturday, May 4, 11 am - 3 pm, (with trail access to participating farms) to find out more about activities, and get information on how you can support local agriculture. The Spring Celebration is presented by SVA with support from the King County CSA Program, The Woodinville Weekly and Olympic Nursery, Inc.
