Glass pumpkin patch events scheduled

Tacoma Glassblowing Studio announces the 2015 Glass Pumpkin Patch dates and locations, with more than 2,000 blown glass pumpkins (fresh batch of pumpkins to each show) crafted by local artisans. Wander through a dazzling array of colors, shapes, sizes and price ranges. Admission is free, with a portion of proceeds given to support children’s programs. Nearby events include:

• Sept. 19, 9-4 p.m., Woodinville, at Molbak’s  Garden & Home
• Oct. 3, 9-4 p.m., Bellevue, at Northwest Art Center
• Oct. 10, 9-4 p.m., Issaquah, at Pickering Barn

Admission is free and all events are rain or shine. Glass pumpkins are for sale and range in price from $35-$95. There will also be extra-large pumpkins available.

Salmon in the Forest: film screening and tour

What: Salmon in the Forest includes a 45-minute film narrated by Dr. David Suzuki called “The Salmon Forest” and a naturalist-led interpretive tour of the new NW Stream Center Elevated Nature Walk.
When: Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m.; Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m.; Thursday, Sept. 24 at 2 p.m.
Who: This event is geared for seventh graders to adults; each event is limited 30 participants.

Costs: $7 for Adopt A Stream Foundation members; $10 non-members

Tsuga Fine Art hosts free watercolor exhibit

This fall, local watercolorist Charlene Collins Freeman will be featured in a solo exhibition at TSUGA Fine Art & Framing, located on Main Street in downtown Bothell.

“Beauty Everywhere” is a celebration of the small things in life — a hummingbird alighting on a flower, the reflections in a shop window, the gentle cascade of early morning light filtering through an old European alleyway.

Homeward Pet Adoption Center hosts third annual Happy Tails Wine Walk

Join Homeward Pet Adoption Center as it hosts the third annual Happy Tails Wine Walk fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 1-5 p.m.

Bring family and friends — even your four-legged friend! — for a brisk hike or leisurely stroll through Woodinville’s unique Hollywood Wine District. Visit more than 18 participating wineries to sip samples and purchase bottles of local wines — all to benefit the homeless dogs and cats at Homeward Pet! Then, take a break to enjoy delicious food from some of Woodinville’s finest eateries.
