69th Wedding Anniversary

20171212 121243 1 resizedMr. & Mrs. Nathaniel P. Barker reached their 69th Wedding Anniversary on December 12th, 2017. Mr. & Mrs. Barker have eight children, many grandchildren & great grandchildren; they were married in 1948.

Mr. Barker is retired US Navy, drove logging truck and worked in the woods. Mrs. Katherine Barker tended their children, was a Tribal Council Member for many years, Archivist and is the Head Tribal Elder of the Snoqualmie Tribe of Indians.

They have owned a home in Woodinville since the 1950's.

They are now beginning their 70th year of marriage together; Mrs. Barker is 86 years of age and Mr. Barker is 91 years of age.

Anniversary: Grubbs

William Edward Grubbs and Geri A. Grubbs, PhD, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 10. They were married in Fremont, California in 1966, raised two children, lost their son Michael in 1984, and led a full, active life in Saratoga, California before moving to Woodinville in 1999.

Anniversary: Mathewson

Harry & Julia Mathewson are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on May 28th. Harry, formerly of Bridgeport, Conn., and Julia (Wasik) of Harrah, Oklahoma, were married in San Diego, Calif. on May 28, 1946. They have been longtime residents of Woodinville since 1968. Harry served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years, retiring as a Master Chief. Both are active members of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Bothell and Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church in Woodinville. Both are involved with the Knights of Columbus.

Anniversary: Bollinger

Ron and Alice Bollinger recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a special blessing by Father Frank Schuster at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, followed by a party at their home attended by their children and many of their 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Ron and Alice met and married in Seattle, then lived in North Carolina while Ron served as a dentist in the Air Force.
They returned to the Seattle area to raise their seven children and the many foster children they welcomed. They reside in Woodinville.
