The Woodinville Insider: New Kids on the Block!

  • Written by Woodinville Wine Country

Some fantastic new, talented wineries are ready for you to explore in the ever-growing Woodinville Wine Country’s Warehouse family.

Artisan Hill District:

Three of Cups, in the Artisan Hill Area draws its name from a tarot card that “symbolizes conviviality, abundance, joy and friendship”. The names of their wines reflect this theme:  “Le Justice” (red blend), “Le Bateleur” (rich Cabernet Sauvignon). Three of Cups style is quintessentially “WA bold”.  Spend the day in Artisan Hill and enjoy great wines, spirits and the new B-Side Brewing. www.threeofcups.com

Woodinville Warehouse District:

Lisa Warr-King Packer’s eponymous Warr-King Wines is located across from Darby, Guardian and Sparkman. The opening in mid-April will showcase her Riesling, Reds (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and red blend called Descendant) and a Rousanne. Lisa’s philosophy is reflected in each vintage…”the terroir creates bold, structured wines; fruit forward flavors and elegant finishes”. www.warr-kingwines.com

Rocky Pond Winery is just up the hill from Warr-King Wines. Inspired by wines enjoyed after a long, invigorating bike ride in France, owners David and Michelle Dufenhorst made their inspiration a reality on their vineyard located on the south shore of  Lake Chelan. With master winemaker Ron Bunnell’s masterful hand you won’t want to miss stopping in for a taste. www.rockypondwinery.com

by Kasia is a winery created by longtime Woodinville wine veteran Kasia K. Her winery is not open to the public but you can join her wine club to get this spring’s boutique limited releases of Off the Hook Rosé and Open Highway Syrah. www.kasiawinery.com

These new wineries have a verve and energy that is very contagious. Come, taste and share the excitement that we feel in welcoming them to the many faceted jeweled landscape that comprise the Woodinville Wine Country collection of great wineries!  Cheers!
