  • Written by Laurie Cook, Wordsmith Diva

Come one, come all! Celebrate Woodinville’s Summer Festival is on Saturday, August 20th in downtown Woodinville. Invite your family, friends and neighbors and join in the merriment of this great community celebration.

Festivities begin with the Woodinville Fire & Rescue pancake breakfast, followed by the 38th annual community parade.

Throughout the afternoon, you can enjoy free music in the park; local libations in the wine and beer garden; tasty menu options from local restaurants and food trucks; arts and crafts vendors and exhibitors; farmers market; and children’s activities, hosted by the Northshore YMCA. Don’t miss the popular “Basset Bash,” a Basset hound-only contest with prizes awarded for attributes such as best waddle, best howl, and one you might expect: longest ears.
