12 Days of Goodness: Northshore

Come for our pancake breakfast and meet a Seahawks alumni Edwin Bailey. Northshore Seniors are participating in the 12 Days of Goodness. This program was developed by Suzanne Newman and partners with the NFL Alumni Association and Pro Football legends. The program aims to bring friendship, memories and cheer to seniors in key NFL cities across the United States. We will welcome Edwin Bailey, former Seahawk,  at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec 17. The cost of the breakfast is $5 per person, any age. Our volunteers will prepare and serve pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, tea, juice with proceeds supporting services at Northshore Senior Center. You do not have to purchase breakfast to meet Edwin Bailey. The breakfast takes place Saturday, Dec 17 from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. with an appearance by Edwin Bailey beginning at 9 a.m. Event takes place at Northshore Senior Center, 10201 East Riverside Dr., Bothell. Art opening and silent auction

Duvall Foundation for the Arts presents its annual Holiday Art Opening & Silent Auction, Thursday, Dec. 15, 6-9 p.m., in the Duvall Visitor Center, featuring local artists Jill Cammarano, Annwn Forge, Jim Martin, Derek Ross and more.

‘Swing into Christmas’

“Swing into Christmas” at the East County Senior Center

Come celebrate the holidays with a Christmas concert featuring the Moonlight Swing Orchestra, a 20-person live “Big Band” orchestra! Appetizers and dessert will be served, beer and wine will be  available for purchase. Fun for the whole family! $15 at the door or prepay for $5 off.

12 Days of Goodness with Seahawks alumni

The Sno-Valley Senior Center is working with 12 Days of Goodness, an organization that encourages Seahawks fans  to give at least one act of kindness for a senior.

On Wednesday, Dec. 21, two Seahawks alumni will be at the center during the holiday lunch to help celebrate.

Victorian Santa Train 2016

Step back in time for a special Victorian Santa Train experience! The 47 year tradition of Santa Train at the Northwest Railway Museum continues but with a special opportunity to step back in time on Friday, Dec. 16. All of the Friday, Dec. 16th Santa Trains will travel to the Victorian era complete with a 19th Century Father Christmas, and living history Victorian reenactors for guests to chat with and try out 19th century toys & games with, too. Father Christmas will visit with children and their families in the historic 1890 Snoqualmie Depot. As on all of the Santa Trains, there will be cookies, hot cocoa & fresh coffee. Enjoy a special dusk Santa Train and enjoy the lights of the Upper Snoqualmie Valley on the additional 4 p.m. train!

Tickets may be purchased online (www.trainmuseum.org); at the Snoqualmie Depot (38625 SE King Street, Snoqualmie), or by phone at 425-888-3030 x7202. Tickets are $24 per person for those 2 and up.

There are six hourly departures, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Trains are selling out quickly, so don’t wait to order your tickets for this Victorian Santa Train.
