Plants4Home LLC announced last week the launch of Plants4Home.com, a website that offers landscaping plants direct from local growers and delivered to a customer’s home, free of charge.
The retail garden nursery industry continues to see consolidation, giving home gardeners less access and fewer options to the plants and supplies they need. And recent studies by the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows Americans are working more with less leisure time.
Because of their busy and hectic schedules, many consumers today don’t have or want to take the time to go to a retail garden center or box store to select plants that have been sitting in these centers for weeks or months. After deciding what to buy, they then need to figure out if the plants will fit in their car without damaging them or their car.
National statistics show that consumers continue to expand their online purchasing with seventy-two percent of Millennials researching and shopping online rather than going to a store or the mall.
Two-thirds of 50-year+ Americans buy from online retailers. According to Forrester Research online, shopping retail sales are predicted to grow steadily to $370 billion in 2017, up from $231 billion in 2012. Plants4Home solves the challenge for consumers with less available time, reduced retail options and the desire for quality garden plants, through the convenience of ordering online and free direct home delivery.
“Plants4Home will be one of the largest online retail garden centers in the Seattle area. We offer our customers over one thousand varieties of perennials, annuals, shrubs and trees delivered direct from local growers to our customer’s home, free of charge, said Jake Hector, VP of Operations, who studied horticulture at Oregon State University.
Jake continued, “All our plants come direct from the local growers for delivery to our customer’s home. This ensures that our plants have received the best care from a professional grower and have not been sitting in a retail garden center or box store for weeks or longer exposed to disease, pests, and poor water management.
Plants4Home LLC. Plants4Home is committed to supporting local communities.
Through their fundraising program, Plants4Home gives back 20 percent to local schools, church groups, and other activity booster groups.
