  • Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff

The first class in the free Savvy Gardener series being held at Woodinville Water District, “Simply Lovely: Great Plants for Northwest Gardens,” will be taught by Emily Bishton, an environmental educator and landscape designer who has gardened organically for over 30 years. Come learn how to analyze your site, then make wise choices based on ornamental value, low water use, pest and disease resistance, winter hardiness, easy maintenance, wildlife friendly, safe for children and pets, and that thrive in a variety of soil types.

The class will be held from 10:00 - 11:30 on Saturday, May 6th at Woodinville Water District in the public meeting room located in Building A at 17238 NE Woodinville-Duvall Road, Woodinville.  Attendance is free, but pre-registration is necessary due to space limitations.  You can register by calling the Woodinville Water District Office at 425-487-4100, or by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots.
