MENTAL COMPLAINTS – NE 183RD ST.
Woodinville Police were dispatched to a report of a “man down” with his eyes rolling into the back of his head. A deputy arrived to find that Woodinville Fire was on the scene. A male was sitting on the sidewalk speaking with the medics. The male told the deputy he was out on a “spiritual walk.” The male went on to say that he was “telepathically speaking with his daughter who lives in Lake Forest Park and with Jesus.” At one point, the man claimed to be Jesus. Based upon the first responder’s observations it was clear that the man was under the influence of drugs and/or had mental health concerns. He was unable to provide an address for himself. At times, the male was slow and unfocused but would escalate to hostile and aggressive. Based upon the totality of circumstances, the deputy found the male to be a danger to himself or others. The deputy involuntarily committed the male who was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment.
