  • Written by Karin Hopper
Lumen Academy opened its doors on September 5th  in Woodinville to neurodiverse students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. Lumen Academy is a school designed specifically for youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) providing a unique one-to-one learning environment that empowers neurodiverse youth to discover their highest potential and champion their contribution to society.

The rate of autism is currently as high as 1 out of every 45 children. That rate continues to climb due to an increase of diagnoses in general, but in particular to more accurate diagnoses among females and minority groups.  Lumen Academy strives to be a leader in their community by integrating research-based academia and therapeutic strategies.

Lumen Academy solves many of the issues parents are faced with when selecting the best education possible for their neurodiverse children.  Lumen Academy provides a new option for families of these children and uses therapies accepted by most major insurance is able to keep the overall cost of tuition down.
