The Tony-Award® winning musical Come From Away, which had its first workshop reading in the basement rehearsal halls of The 5th Avenue Theatre as part of its New Works program, returns home to Seattle for the launch of its first North American tour this October. Come From Away is an intimate and breathtaking new musical that inspires hope and is a reminder of the humanity in all of us. Playing October 9 - November 4, 2018, single tickets are on sale now at, by phone at 206-625-1900, or in person at the Box Office (1308 5th Avenue in Downtown Seattle).

“No other art form has the full-on, visceral power to sweep audiences up and away like a great musical does,” said Bill Berry, The 5th Avenue Theatre’s Producing Artistic Director. “At The 5th Avenue Theatre, we believe in the power of great storytelling. There is nothing that compares to the unbelievable true story behind Come From Away, and we are so excited to celebrate its new milestone as it comes to our stage fully realized after starting as a moving and brilliant developmental lab in our New Works program several years ago.”

Come From Away, a New York Times Critics’ Pick, tells the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships. On September 11, 2001 the world stopped. On September 12, their stories moved us all.
