In December 2009, Dave Witt joined the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce as Executive Director. Now, nine years later, Dave will leave the Woodinville Chamber for retirement, alongside his wife, Mary.
Over his celebrated career he has worked for American Airlines as the airlines’ Regional Sales Manager, for the Port of Seattle as Director of Marketing and Customer Service and with Medical Teams International as Director of Operations and Corporate Development. He has been involved with many nonprofits and service organizations, including PONCHO, the Japanese-American Chamber of Commerce, the Japan-America Society, Children’s Hospital and Rotary.
The Woodinville Chamber, however, holds a special place in his heart.
“Dave has been the leader who has taken our Chamber and this business community to the next level. His passion for Woodinville, for our members and for economic development is unparalleled. We are sad to see him go, but so honored for the time and talents he has brought to our City for the past nine years,” says Kimberly Ellertson, Director of Marketing for the Woodinville Chamber.
Witt and his wife, Mary have resided in Woodinville, but will soon move out of the area they’ve called home. Dave enjoys family activities with his grandchildren, golf and time with Mary and their many friends.
Dave’s final Woodinville Chamber event was the December 20th State-of-the-Chamber, held at Willows Lodge and attended by a diverse cross-section of the Chamber membership who has grown to respect and appreciate all that Dave has brought to this community.
We wish Dave continued health and happiness in this next chapter of life!
