The Northshore School District will host an evening of spoken word by Project VOICE poets and performers at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26 at Woodinville High School. Sarah Kay, who visited schools and performed for the Northshore community last year will be returning this year, and will be joined by Phil Kaye. The event is an opportunity for attendees to connect, reflect and discuss various perspectives and experiences relative to students today.
From March 25-27, Project VOICE will be at three of Northshore’s schools to present spoken word and hold workshops for students. They will also hold professional development sessions for staff, which are generously funded by the Northshore Schools Foundation.
To continue the learning from Project VOICE, students, staff and the community will have an opportunity to share their own spoken word at Northshore Speaks, at an evening event on Thursday, May 16. Stay tuned for more details about Northshore Speaks.
