Little Bit Riding Center goes Solar

Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center in Redmond is to become the beneficiary of a donated solar energy system from Northwest Electric and Solar (NWES) of Kenmore.
At Little Bit, horses transform the bodies, minds, and spirits of children and adults with disabilities. Little Bit is one of the largest nationally accredited, industry-leading PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) International centers and one of the largest full-time therapeutic horsemanship programs in the United States.
Located at Dunmire Stables, the 14-acre facility includes a 41 stall barn, a quarter-mile training track, two covered arenas for year-round riding, a tack barn for grooming, the Welcome Center that houses all of the staff offices, and a training center. The solar system will produce over 4000 kilowatt hours per year, which will reduce Little Bit’s electric bill by nearly half.
