EvergreenHealth was recently named to Newsweek’s “2019 Best Hospitals – USA” list, which recognizes the nation’s hospitals that are at the forefront of adapting to new challenges in the health care industry while providing top-notch care.
EvergreenHealth was one among six hospitals in Washington state named to the list, ranking as No. 160 out of 226 hospitals recognized with the distinction.
“Every provider, staff member and volunteer across our health system is committed to providing the best clinical outcomes, absolute safety and exceptional service to the patients and families we serve,” said Jeff Tomlin, EvergreenHealth CEO.
To determine hospital rankings, Newsweek partnered with health insurance provider GeoBlue and Statista, a research and analysis agency, to survey more than 40,000 health care providers and professionals on recommended hospitals other than their own employers. In addition to provider recommendations, hospital scores also rely on direct patient feedback and hospital safety metrics, such as patient-to-provider ratio and compliance with hygiene measures.
In 2019, EvergreenHealth also received Healthgrades’ “America’s 100 Best Hospitals” award for the third year in a row, along with a 5-star safety rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid for continually providing safe, high-quality care. It also earned The Leapfrog Group’s “A” grade for exemplary patient safety, as well. For more information, visit www.evergreenhealth.com/achievements-at-evergreen.
