With the T’s crossed, the I’s dotted and the transfer of ownership finalized, I am compelled to offer reassurance to the community during this time of transition by conveying EastSide Media Corps’ vision of a hyperlocal news experience.
Loyal readers may have questions and concerns in regard to the impact of new proprietorship on a local institution. The following are a few of those that come to mind:
Will The Woodinville Weekly, Northlake News and Valley View continue to be locally centric? Will there be improved coverage? Will the publications look the same as before?
The Woodinville Weekly, Northlake News and Valley View will all be area focused. Coverage will improve as we push local news across print, digital and social platforms.
Typically a change of ownership brings about a change in presentation of product. And such is the case here. Readers of The Woodinville Weekly, Northlake News and Valley View can expect to see some tweaks made over the next few weeks and months that are designed to upgrade their overall news experience.
The first alteration was the redesign of The Woodinville Weekly front page. Alterations will continue in coming editions as we place specific information on designated pages throughout the paper. Eventually, the three publications will morph into one.
