Woodinville Police Beat May 16-21

VEHICLE PROWL

12400 BLOCK OF NE 154 PLACE: On May 16, at 5 a.m., a victim reports that during the night their garage door was opened and their car was prowled.

 COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

17500 BLOCK OF 131 AVE NE: On May 16 at around 8:13 a.m., a local business reported that during the night two subjects forced entry to their fenced yard, but left when the alarm sounded.

 RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE

8200 BLOCK OF 140 AVE NE: On May 17 at approximately 6:15 p.m., deputies located an unoccupied stolen vehicle. The vehicle was returned to its owner.

LARCENY #1 

15900 BLOCK OF NE 193 PLACE: On May 17 at approximately 8:55 p.m., a victim reported that some exterior cameras were stolen.

 VEHICLE THEFT

20400 BLOCK OF WOODINVILLE-SNOHOMISH ROAD NE: On May 20 at around 6:15 a.m., a business reported that one of its work trucks had been stolen. A suspect was later arrested in Snohomish County after committing burglaries in that jurisdiction.

 LARCENY SHOPLIFT #1 

17600 BLOCK OF GARDEN WAY NE: On May 20 at approximately 4:23 p.m., a business reported a shoplifting. 

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

18800 BLOCK OF WOODINVILLE-SNOHOMISH ROAD: On May 20 at approximately 6:31 p.m., deputies went to a call of a suspicious vehicle. They found an unsecured vehicle that appeared to have firearms inside of it. Deputies removed the firearms and impounded the vehicle for safekeeping. 

LARCENY SHOPLIFT #2

17600 BLOCK OF GARDEN WAY NE: On May 21 at around 2:22 p.m., deputies were called to an attempted shoplift at a local business. The suspect was located at the Woodinville Park and Ride. He explained that he takes the bus to Woodinville to shoplift and then returns to Seattle.

TELEPHONE FRAUD

17100 BLOCK OF 133 AVE NE: On May 21 at around 2:37 p.m., deputies investigated several elderly residents who reported fraud attempts. They had received phone messages that they won some type of contest.

IDENTITY THEFT

NUMEROUS LOCATIONS: Many citizens are reporting that they have received notification that someone is attempting to apply for unemployment benefits in their name.
