Woodinville Police Beat Jan. 12-15, 2020

AGENCY ASSIST

17800 BLOCK OF 131 AVE NE: On Jan. 12 around 6:45 p.m., deputies were asked to assist in locating the occupants of a rollover collision that occurred on SR 522, where the occupants fled the scene. All occupants were located and the investigation was turned over to WSP troopers on scene.

STORE TRESPASS

14100 BLOCK OF NE WOODINVILLE-DUVALL ROAD: On Jan. 12 at around 11:57 p.m., deputies were called for a chronic shoplifter who was in a store and loading a cart with clothing. The subject told deputies that he planned on stealing the clothes. The manager wanted the subject removed from the store, but told him to come back at a later time and he will be given free clothing.

CIVIL MATTER 

17300 BLOCK OF 131 AVE NE: Subject surrendered his firearms at the PD as required by a court order.

CAR BREAK-IN

17100 BLOCK OF 131 AVE NE: On Jan. 14 at around 9:48 a.m., the victim noticed that during the night one of her car windows was broken out and items were taken. No suspect information available.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES 

20300 BLOCK OF 170 AVE NE: On Jan. 15 at around 7:05 a.m., deputies were called about a suspicious vehicle and possible drug activity in a neighborhood. Deputies determined that the vehicle had an associated warrant for the registered owner. They contacted the owner in the driver’s seat. He exited the car and tried to flee, but was arrested nearby. The subject admitted to smoking heroin in the car and turned over his remaining drugs for disposal. The subject was booked into jail.

DEATH INVESTIGATION 

17100 BLOCK OF 133 AVE NE: On Jan. 15 at around 1 p.m., a victim passed away at an assisted care facility.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT 

12500 BLOCK OF NE 148 STREET: On Jan. 15 at around 4:12 p.m., a 14- year-old victim attempted suicide by overdosing on medication.

IDENTITY THEFT

13100 BE 177 PLACE: On Jan. 16 at around 4:16 p.m., a victim reported that he was a victim of identity theft online.
