This quilt on display at the 17th annual Duvall (formerly outdoor but this year indoors) Quilt Show Sept. 29 was made by the Duvall (formerly Women's) Civic Club in 1976. The quilt was made in honor of the bicentennial. Every state and the year it became a state are sewn into each large square. It was raffled off and a local teen won the prize. She has taken impeccable care of it over the years, but recently decided to return to the Civic Club. The Club is very appreciative of the generous gesture and hopes to display the quilt at various venues throughout Duvall, according to Club spokesperson Sandy DuVall.
