Duvall Civic Club Plant and Garden Art Sale is May 13

  • Written by Valley View Staff

Spring is here and you need to be ready! One of the oldest plant sale events in the Valley is the Duvall Civic Club Mother’s Day Plant and Garden Art Sale that will be held on May 13th from 10:00 to 4:00 in the parking lot behind the Duvall Visitor Center (old library building) on Main Street.

In addition to the plant sale, local artists and vendors will provide a bounty of choices for all who attend. There will also be a craft fair upstairs in the Duvall Visitor Center; so there will be lots of local artists with beautiful garden art and specialty items for sale along with the plants.

The Friends of The Library will have a raffle barrel that will support the Duvall Library. This sale is where you will find perennials, annuals, shrubs, trees, garden starts and blooming baskets, including the much sought-after baskets of Rieger begonias.

Donations from longtime residents and from new friends and neighbors make this sale a one of a kind adventure! This event was born in 1949 when ten-cent seed packets were passed out at the February meeting with the instructions for members to grow vegetable starts that could be sold to raise money for the Duvall Library. According to club records, some years in between have been skipped, but as near as we can tell, this would be the 45th Civic Club Plant Sale. The Civic Club Plant and Garden Art Sale has become a treasured tradition in the Snoqualmie Valley for more than 50 years. Plant sale volunteers are taking plant donations now. So if you can donate plants or you have questions, contact Sandy DuVall at 425-765-1546 or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Plant sale organizers are looking for donations of perennials, extra seed starts (especially vegetable starts), unusual annuals, herbs, shrubs, small trees, hanging baskets, pansies, and more. Plants must be potted, and arrangements can be made for drop-off or pickup.
