Pet of the Week - Nov. 21, 2011

  • Written by Homeward Pet Adoption
POWKittensSummertime is usually the season when we have lots and lots of kittens for adoption at Homeward Pet, but this year our “crop” of kittens is still being “harvested!” Most of our kittens have been in foster care until they are big enough to come back into the shelter to be altered and then made available for adoption.

Our foster volunteers provide an invaluable service by giving these kittens a chance to be socialized and cared for in a home environment. This also allows us to get a sense of the kittens’ personalities so we can find the right match in a forever home. Here at Homeward Pet we spend time with our potential adopters to help them find the right felines for their lifestyle.

We always recommend adopting a pair so the kittens learn important social skills from each other and also keep each other amused (especially important at about 3 o’clock in the morning)!

If you are contemplating adding a kitten or two into your family, come on in and meet these little cuties and talk with our adoption counselors. If you decide a kitten is just too much energy for your household, we always have mellow adults just waiting for a comfy lap!

Come meet all the felines at Homeward Pet Adoption Center! We’re located at 13132 NE 177th Place in Woodinville.

Our shelter is open for visitors between 12 noon and 6 p.m, Wednesday through Sunday.
