On Monday, February 25, fire crews from Woodinville Fire & Rescue and Snohomish Fire District 7 responded to a house fire in the 13500 block of NE 205th Street in Woodinville.

The fire started at around 3:30 p.m. when the occupants were away from the home. The occupants returned home to find smoke and flames coming from the house.

Fire crews quickly extinguished the main fire and then spent about an hour extinguishing spot fires that had made the way into wall spaces and the attic space. There were no injuries to the occupants or firefighters. A dog was inside the home at the time but was able to get out safely when the home’s occupant arrived and noticed the fire.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal investigated the fire and determined the cause to be accidental resulting from an electrical wiring issue.
