Council approves surveillance cameras

WOODINVILLE — At the May 21st regular council meeting, Woodinville City council members gave the OK for the surveillance cameras requested by Woodinville Chief of Police Sydney Jackson to be installed on city roads and public areas by a vote of 5-1.

Mayor Bernie Talmas was the only dissenting vote; Councilmember Paulette Bauman was not present.
 In addition, the council approved $55,000 for the implementation of the pilot program.

Specific details on the date for the installation of the cameras will be presented at a future council meeting. Also yet to be determined are the specific sites and usage details.
