On October 29, the Woodinville resident was the guest of honor at a grand prize celebration at the grocery store where she received the keys to a brand new Toyota Prius and enjoyed celebratory cake with guests, corporate dignitaries, and customers. Morrison was working at the Woodinville Heritage Museum on October 4 when she received a phone call from Haggen’s corporate office telling her to check her email and to make sure to read it.

Her co-workers were in disbelief, so she hasn’t said anything more to them. "I plan on driving the car to the museum to surprise them!" she said.

More than 300 Haggen customers won over $75,000 worth of prizes, including vacation packages, restaurant gift certificates, and other prizes, with several coming from local companies who donated prizes. In addition to rewarding its loyal customers, who gained an automatic contest entry with every purchase of $50 or more after filling out the online entry form, Haggen also spent $60,000 supporting local businesses by purchasing prize giveaways. The contest ran from August 14 through September 24.
