The Snohomish Aquatic Center will celebrate its grand opening with a special community event on Saturday, January 25.
The dedication ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, at the Snohomish Aquatic Center, 516 Maple Avenue in Snohomish. The facility will be open for community tours that day from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Snohomish Aquatic Center will open to the community beginning Sunday, January 26.
The Snohomish Aquatic Center is a Snohomish School District facility. It was constructed with funds from the district’s 2008 Capital Projects Bond. The YMCA of Snohomish County has partnered with the district to help manage the facility.
The Snohomish Aquatic Center will offer everything aquatic under one roof – swim lessons, recreational swim, surf lessons, diving, competitive swim and water fitness. It features a recreation pool, competition pool, dive area, warm-water therapy pool, spray play/zero-entry area, surf-simulation machine, lazy river and water slide. The facility also includes locker rooms, a family changing area, private meeting space, party room and a café offering light refreshments.
