Christopher ‘Chris’ Brent OlsonChristopher ‘Chris’ Brent Olson, loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle passed away at his home in Woodinville, Wash., on August 29 at the age of 45 after his battle with Mantle Cell Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive cancer.Chris is survived by his wife Michelle, his son Wyatt, his parents Brent and Madeline and his brother Darren and his wife Jessica.Chris was born in Trinidad and Tobago in 1974. His childhood had him living in Annandale Va., Honduras, and Bangladesh. After high school, Chris focused on his love of technology and earned a Novell CNE certification. He started at MAJIQ Inc. in Redmond, Wash., in January 1995 at the age of 20.Chris was brought in to fix a recently deployed Novell and PC environment. Quickly demonstrating his intelligence and command of this emerging field, he earned multiple Microsoft certifications and played the primary role in converting from Novell to a Microsoft network environment.Throughout his nearly 25-year career, Chris took on leadership roles and projects of increasing responsibility and remained on top of the cutting edge of the latest technology, culminating with his most recent promotion to IT Director, Perseus Operating Group, a division of Constellation Software Inc. parent company of MAJIQ.On July 31, 2004 Chris and Michelle were married. In June 2008, their family was complete when they welcomed their son Wyatt. Chris' passions weren't limited to technology, he was also an avid skier, cyclist, reader and hiker, all which he shared with his son Wyatt.Chris valued his relationships with friends. Other than Woodinville Chris, Michelle and Wyatt felt most at home in Maui where they visited every April to enjoy time together as a family.Services will be held Friday, September 13, at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, 17856 NE Woodinville Duvall Road in Woodinville.Funeral Service starts at 5 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 6.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliancehttps://www.seattlecca.org/donate-and-volunteer/make-donation
