Woodinville PD | Police Blotter 3.3.23
1. Auto Theft - 14000 NE 181ST PL – On 2/24/2022 around 7:40AM, victim left their vehicle running in a parking lot to warm up. A suspect stole the running vehicle.
2. Auto Theft - 19200 WOODINVILLE SNOHOMISH RD – On 2/24/2022 around 8:05AM, victim reported their rented U-Haul stolen from a parking lot. Shortly after, the U-Haul was located by a neighboring agency, and it was recovered by law enforcement.
3. Fire – 19700 WOODINVILLE SNOHOMISH RD – On 2/23/2022 around 1:20PM, a passerby reported seeing smoke coming from an abandoned building. Fire Department arrived and noticed several people inside an abandoned building. The trespassers turned the exhaust fan on and lit a fire inside to stay warm. Police arrived and trespassed them from the property per the owner’s request. The fire was put out and removed from the building.
4. Larceny - 13900 NE MILL PL – On 2/21/2022 around 11:26AM, UPS driver reported someone stole packages from his delivery truck while he was making a delivery. Video surveillance obtained and the same suspect vehicle followed the UPS truck two days in a row. Case was assigned to detectives who learned other local police agencies show the same suspect vehicle following other UPS trucks. Case ongoing.
5. Eluding – 16500 NE WOODINVILLE DUVALL RD – On 2/21/2022 around 10:30PM, a deputy attempted to pull a vehicle over for a traffic violation. The vehicle briefly pulled over then quickly sped away. Deputy did not pursue.
6. Burglary (Commercial) - 18500 156TH AVE NE – On 2/20/2022 around 2:15AM, victim reported seeing someone on camera in his business building after hours stealing items. Deputies arrived and the suspect attempted to fool the deputies by impersonating himself as a security officer. He was arrested and booked into jail.
7. Assault - 18100 142ND AVE NE– On 2/19/2022 around 2:30AM, deputies were called to a disturbance where an ex-significant other was attempting to break down the front door with a sledgehammer. Deputies arrived and ultimately arrested the suspect. The suspect was booked into jail for several charges.
