Patricia Ann Greene | May 1942 – April 2023

Patricia Ann Greene, lovingly known as "Patti," passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 80. Patti was born on May 10, 1942.

Despite being diagnosed with hearing loss at a young age, Patti persevered through a time when there were limited resources for the hard-of-hearing community. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Riverside City College and became the first deaf-licensed vocational nurse in California. Patti dedicated almost five decades of her life as a licensed nurse in California and Washington. In the last chapter of her career, she transitioned to teaching to help high school students get their start in the nursing field.

Patti's passion outside work was her family and her beloved basset hounds. With her husband Gary, she co-founded the annual Woodinville Basset Bash and Basset Brigade in 1982. The events have become a yearly tradition and are so tied to the city's character that two statues of basset hounds have been erected along the main street.

Patti is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gary, son Gregg and his wife Elisa, grandsons Max and Sam, sister Robin and brother Jack. Patti and Gary were married on June 11, 1967, in Los Angeles, CA.

Patti was a warm, caring, and loving person who brought joy to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
