"This year's beneficiary is the Kenzie & Dot Foundation, a new local organization with a mission to support local Woodinville families. Not only can runners decide to make a small donation during registration, but a portion of all registration payments will go directly to the Foundation," Kimberly Ellertson, Woodinville Chamber Executive Director, said. "We hope our community will encourage their friends, neighbors, and out-of-town guests to join us for this year's Summer Glow Run."

The cost is $35 for ages 16 and up if you register by June 16. The price is $20 for runners ages 15 and under if you register by June 16. After June 16, the cost is $40 for ages 16 and up.

Participants of all ages and fitness levels come together to light up the night as they traverse a scenic course adorned with colorful glow sticks, vibrant LED lights and neon accessories. The atmosphere is electric, with music pumping, and the entire route is illuminated with a kaleidoscope of glowing colors.

The event kicks off in the early evening, just as the sun sets, creating the perfect backdrop for the glowing spectacle ahead. Runners, joggers, and walkers gather at the starting line, adorned in their brightest and most eye-catching glow gear. From glow-in-the-dark t-shirts to neon headbands, participants create a dazzling luminescence display.

As the race began, the participants began an adventure, navigating the course through Woodinville's scenic streets and parks. The route is thoughtfully designed to showcase the area's natural beauty while providing participants with an entertaining and engaging experience. Enthusiastic volunteers cheer on the runners along the way, adding to the excitement and encouraging everyone to push themselves to reach their personal best.

At the finish line, participants are greeted with cheers, applause, and a sense of accomplishment. The post-race celebration is lively, with music, food vendors, and various activities for all ages to enjoy. It's a time to relax, unwind, and bask in the glow of a successful race.

"Our Celebrate Woodinville Glow Run 5k saw over 350 participants last year and we hope to grow the event this summer," Ellertson said. "It brings attendees downtown to visit our local businesses, is a key component of our Chamber's mission and the Summer Glow Run is one of many ways we encourage locals and visitors to experience all that downtown Woodinville has to offer."
